Online marketing is not cheap. You can spend thousands of dollars on Pay Per Click (Google Adwords) and thousands of site-targeted dollars (AdBrite), and you can spend thousands just buying text links from individual sites. Trust me, I’ve spent thousands on advertising.
However, my favorite form of marketing is the free kind. Anything free I like, especially if it helps my websites make more money without increasing my advertising costs.
Here are three easy and quick ways to market your website at no additional cost.
1. Business Cards
Business cards are a staple in my advertising arsenal. You can leave them everywhere and give them to anyone. The best part is, they are free!

Most web hosting companies will provide you with basic web traffic information that you then have to interpret and make pertinent use of. However, the data you receive from your host company can be overwhelming if you don’t understand how to apply it to your particular business and website.

You may want to check some of your top 5 keywords on Google, Yahoo, and MSN to see where you are located. Different then what you expected? Is your site traffic down? Then, you’d better do something and do it quickly. Sites which refuse to write and publish content are “on their way out,” as one web designer and SEO expert has said. Let’s take a look at this issue a bit further. Continue reading →

1. Click-throughs from article banks. People read your articles at an article bank, and click on the link in the “author’s resource box.”
2. Search engine traffic. Search “cheap international plane tickets” on Google, and sites with my article will be in the results. Wherever the article is found, readers can click through to my travel site. Continue reading →

How do you write the article? You can come up with the content – How do you grab those readers and make them come back for more?
As you can construct and edit an article (it has a beginning, middle and end; and you can check the grammar and spelling); if you want to WIN readers – think about what they want to know. Continue reading →
