When you are working with your network marketing business, the easiest trap to fall into is management mode. It is so easy to get a few people and start checking in to see what they are doing and if they have finished different tasks. This is why it is important to figure out how much time to spend prospecting VS team support.
Personally, I love people and I love my team but I am all about working while supporting my team. My team can learn while we earn. We can be calling someone or getting some training done but we are always in action whenever we are doing it.
I am to the mind of 90% “front line” action and 10% team support. “Front line” means either personally recruiting people or doing 3 way calls for my personals. That is what everyone should focus on in the beginning as they are building their business. If everyone focuses on building their business this way then everyone will be successful.
Management mode is the worst place you can ever go so if you catch yourself constantly calling and checking in on your team members to make sure they are taking proper action, that is not a good sign. On the other hand, it is great to keep strong relationships with your team members. The rule I make sure to follow is do not allow a “no talk time” for any longer than 7 days. I make sure I have spoken to all of my personals and any “sparks” in my team within the last 7 days.
If you keep these rules in place you will notice that your team is growing and you are not in management mode.
