Ever tried selling on eBay before? If not, then you’re probably lost about how to get started. But the good news is that it’s incredibly simple and easy to sell on eBay without losing a ton of money. People go to this site everyday looking to BUY something. If this isn’t a reason to sell on eBay, then I don’t know what is. I can tell you this: easy money awaits there.
But understandably, some people don’t like the idea of sitting by their computer and listing hundreds or even thousands of auctions everyday… or every week. And I’ll admit, that’s something that I don’t want to do either. Luckily eBay has tools that allow you to re-submit and “auto submit” your unsold listings. Last time I check, this was called “Turbo Lister”. Great tool.
Now if you are still lost, don’t worry. Think marketing. You need as many qualified eyeballs to your auctions if you want to make a lot of money. Now granted, eBay gets millions of visitors and customers visiting their site everyday. But if you want true success, you will need to direct these people to YOUR auctions. Continue reading
On the internet, there are many ways that you can earn a nice income. Some people prefer to make money from their own website, some prefer to make money from becoming freelancer, some people prefer to make money with Amazon, and some people like to make money with eBay… and eBay isn’t a bad option.
A lot of people find eBay to be a fun way to earn money in their spare time – and I can’t disagree with this. When I used to sell on eBay, within 3 months I became an eBay Powerseller, and an eBay Top Rated seller… all within 3 months. It was lovely. The acclaim was nice, the income was nice, but I had my eyes on bigger goals. I wanted to start a website that would earn me money while I was out doing the things that I wanted to do… basically a business that I could run from virtually my cell phone LOL.
But if you want to sell on eBay for yourself, and you want some tips on how to make it profitable for you, then you’ve landed on the right place. I’m going to share with you some of the things that you can do to have an eBay business that will thrive and succeed – even through a rough economy. Here’s the first thing that you can do: Continue reading
The basics include things that you can expect or want from an online auction platform. An online auction platform should be a great interactive marketplace where sellers can start an auction for an item, a seller buys it and the item is then shipped to the buyer. In order to perform these transactions there are certain features a site should have to gain your business.
Fees – Fees can seriously hamper your end profit. As a seller you need to know about the fee structures upfront. Is there an account activation or membership fee? Is there a fee for sellers to join? Is there an item listing fee? Are there any other extraneous fees such as adding pictures or descriptions to the items you want to list? A poorly run auction site can have all these and you can run your profit into the ground.
Selling – Any items that you are selling you should be able to have complete control over. You should be able to list an item with pictures and a description, set minimum selling amounts, sometimes referred to as a reserve, and an end time or date to the auction. Cancelling bids or blocking buyers should also be available, in case of bidding abuse. Continue reading

In the Information Age, technology plays a huge role in everything we do, from the way we interact with friends and family to the way we conduct business. Resale businesses are no different. Between smart phone apps that can guide you to auctions and sites like eBay and Craigslist that can help you sell your wares, the Internet is probably front-and-center in your business.
One type of technology that you may not have explored yet, though, is the virtual storage auction. Although this is a very new development in the often slow-moving auction business, it’s already gained a lot of inertia and may soon become the new model for how auctions are held. Learning to make the most of this technology now can give you a boost over the competition and put you in a competitive place for the future.
Here are a few of the reasons online auctions are better than traditional sales:
— You can bid from home or while working on other projects. By visiting the site on a mobile device, you can bid from anywhere and don’t have to interrupt your day to attend a live auction. This saves you a lot of time and gas.. Continue reading
